There are two species within the genus, both occur in North America. Gliders
are large, strong flying yellow orange to brownish dragonflies of very wide distribution.
They are long-winged, with the wings being broad at the base and pointed toward
the tip. The face is pale with a red tint in fully mature males. The hind
legs are long and strong. This genus is highly migratory and has a strong gliding
flight.
