Snaketails

These stream dwelling dragonflies of moderate size are recognized by their bright green to gray green thorax.  They are rather stocky, with short legs and only moderately developed clubs.  The abdomen is is marked with prominent yellow dorsal spots, the shape of which can be useful in identification.

Most members of this genus inhabit swiftly flowing streams.
